JASMINA TRUMBETAS

Serbia

Artistic director of the Opera of the National Theather in Belgrade.She was born in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated from the Faculty of Music of Belgrade University. Her mentor was world-known soprano Professor Radmila Bakocevic with whom she also obtained her Master’s degree in Solo singing in 1996.

In addition, she obtained another academic degree in Slavic languages and literature at the Faculty of Philology at Belgrade University.
 
Her undeiable talent, awards and achievements resulted in admission to The Opera company of the
National Theatre in Belgrade, where her career as a singer and performer flourished in the roles of
Mimi (La Boheme), Micaela (Carmen), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Leonora(Il Trovatore).  She has won many awards during her career  at the International Competitions . In 2001 Jasmina sang for the first time the role of Leonora and following year she became Principal soprano of the Belgrade Opera House.In the National theather of Belgrade   Jasmina was awarded as Singer-of-the-year for the roles of Marguerite in  Faust, Aida, Leonora in Forza del destino, Tosca, Manon Lesco.


Jasmina made her international debut in Norway. She also performed in Greece, Italy , Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria   as Aida, Leonora , Tatiana.  Her role of Tatiana was impressive and followed by excellent critiques in Italy where she was a guest singer.


Besides her singing in opera, Jasmina has performed in many concert halls all over Serbia and across Europe (Italy, Germany, Greece, France, Great Britain, Portugal, Austria, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Denmark, Israel, South Korea etc.) and she collaborated with many conductors and word-know singers in her career. Zeljko Lucic, Paolo Coni, Francesco Anile, Sania Anastasia, Mandeal, Romani, Morar,Stanciu,Silva,Guliev…


Her most important roles are:Manon Lesco, Desdemona [Otello],Maddalena [Andre Schenie], Aida, Tosca, Leonora [Il Trovatore , Forza del destino],Elisabetta [ Don Carlos],Adriana Lecouvreur, Amelia [Un ballo in maschera],Cio-cio-san [Madama Butterfly],Tatiana [Eugenie Oneghin] etc..
