Bogdan Pejic is a guitar player who enjoys exploring different music genres. His music expression, thus, cannot be categorized under one particular style. He simply tries to transfer music in his own way.


He was born in 1981 in a family of cellists. In early childhood he fell in love with guitar and started his education on acoustic, electric, and then on a classical guitar. He has taken his baby steps in guitar playing with the professor Dejan Sazdanovic in Paracin, continued his education in Music School “Kosta Manojlovic” in Zemun in the class of the same professor. With professor Dejan, he works on improvement of classical guitar playing, but also on composing in different directions towards which the guitar modern music developed. In that period, he won many awards in national guitar competitions. His further education continues at the University of Arts, Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the department for classical guitar in the class of professor Srdjan Tosic, where he graduated in 2007.


In parallel with classical education programs there is a growing interest in him in jazz music and other types of guitar music. He plays in many bands for which he composes and arranges music. He also composes plays for classical and acoustic guitar, performed by himself, but also by his students in numerous schools where he works as a teacher.


He has been a pedagogue since 2000, when he started working in a Music School “Davorin Jenko” in Belgrade, where he won many awards with his guitar and chamber music students. He has also worked as a teacher to young guitar players, in the fields of classical, acoustic and electric guitar. Currently, he is a teacher to young guitar students in a Music School “Dr Vojislav Vuckovic” in Nis.


Since 2001, he has been a member of Beltango quintet – the first tango quintet from the Balkans, with which he had numerous concerts all over the world. In the fusion of the young orchestra Tango Juventud and Beltango quintet, he won the first place in the prestigious competition in Italian city Castelfidardo, in the category of Astor Piazzolla music, in 2007.


Both as a soloist and with the quintet, he performs with symphony and philharmonic orchestras from Istambul, Skoplje, Novi Sad, Nis, reaching more than 900 performances on most prominent tango festivals and some festivals of classical and world music all over Europe. In 2007, he performed at the biggest tango festival in Buenos Aires.


He nurtures chamber music and together with his older brother, cellist Bozidar Pejic, he established “Duo Pejic” in 2016.
