Jovan Bogosavljevic was born in Belgrade. He began to study violin with his father, Dragutin Bogosavljević (student of famous pedagogues and violinists David Oistrakh and Boris Kuznetsov). He crowned this period of schooling as the Absolute winner of the competition in Tortona in the category up to 30 years of age. Finished his undergraduate studies in the class of professor Tatiana Olujić, in whose class he also received his master's degree. In 2002/03, he also received his master's degree from the Royal Conservatory in Brussels in the class of professor Igor Oistrakh, one of the greatest violinists of today. During his stay in Brussels, he was the concertmaster of the student orchestra as well as the concertmaster of the orchestra for contemporary music. After graduating from the Royal Conservatory, Jovan Bogosavljević studied with: Mikhail Kopelman, Pierre Amojal, Kim Nam-jun and Boris Kushnir. As a soloist with chamber and symphony orchestras he has performed in: Serbia, all former Republics, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Turkey, England, Belgium, Greece, Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, China, Argentina , Japan, United Arab Emirates… He has also performed as a soloist at important festivals: Ars Muzika-Brussels, Art Fest-London, Warsaw Festival-Poland, Stuttgart-Germany Festival, Copenhagen-Denmark Festival, International Festival-Berlin, Bemus-Belgrade, Novi Sad Music Summer, Nimus-Niš, Kotor Art-Montenegro as well as prestigious halls: “Saint Martin in the Fields” - London / England, “Palais de beaux arts” - Brussels / Belgium, “Stadthalle” Wuppertal / Germany and others. As a soloist, he has collaborated with many renowned conductors: Mladen Jagušt, Uroš Lajovic, Dorijan Wilson, Andrej Andrejev, Biljana Radovanović, Jovan Šainović, Bojan Sudjić, Berislav Skenderović, Sasa Nikolovski Đumar, Anatolij Novicki, Bart Bukart, Stanko Šepić, Vesna Šouc, Svic Simeonov, Fan Tao, Igor Budenstein, Bernard Steiner, Mark Kadin, Igor Tatarevic… He has performed as a soloist with many orchestras from the Belgrade Philharmonic to the Beijing National Orchestra. He has also collaborated with a large number of pianists: Ishil Bengi, Chui Lan, Jelena Jermakova, Isak Sekelji, Dragana Petkovic, Biljana Gorunovic, Olivera Djurdjevic, Natalija Mladenovic, Dejan Sinadinovic, Aleksandar Serdar, Ludmil Angelov, Sonja Radojkovic… He also performed in a duet with other instrumentalists: Dragutin Bogosavljevic, Ljubisa Jovanovic , Marija Rajković, Panta Veličković, Dragan Đorđević, Jan Luk Votano, Alan Bulgerian, Margarita Kalčeva ,, Echo Classic ,,. Since 2015, he has been a member of the "Serbian String Quartet", the founder of the "International College of Artists Stade", within which he conducts the chamber orchestra "Hybrids" and the quintet for performing music by Astor Piazzolla, "Solisti di Sud". As a soloist and chamber musician, Jovan has made several permanent recordings and CDs for PGP RTS, Contakt Line, played over 1000 concerts and as one of the leading artists in Serbia has achieved numerous awards and reviews: "Artist of the Year", 2006 by Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia ,, Performer of the Year ,, 2012. Music Classics… Since 2019. He collaborate and perform with the celebrated Bulgarian pianist Ludmil Angelov.


Jovan Bogosavljevic is a full professor at the University of Nis. In 2021, Jovan Bogosavljević in the category of soloists, becomes a finalist in the world music competition of the famous composer Astor Piacola.
