Tsveta Christoforou was born in Varna, Bulgaria. In 1989 she graduated from high music school CMY D. Xristov, with a specialty in Solo Lyric singing in the class of Z. Kyncheva and piano in the class of P. Vitanov.
In 1989 during her studies she was a member of the Youth Opera Flag of Peace, an annex to the opera of Varna. Some of the works she has participated in are: Bastien and Bastiena of Mozart, Little sweep by Benjamin Britten, a penguin adventure by G. Zanev and many others.
In 1989, after a competition, she became a permanent member of the Varna State Opera as a singer.
A year later (1990), after a successful exam, she got a scholarship and was accepted at university of Sofia Music Academy P. Vladigerov. She graduated from the University with a Master in Music as a Mezzo Soprano Music Theater - Soloist and in 2019 she will receive a second Master as a music theater stage Director at the HEMP Vladigerov of Bulgaria. In 1994 Tsveta won first prize in the competition for new solo lyrical singer Svetoslav Opretenov. In 1995 after an auition she became a permanent member as a Soloist / Mezzo Soprano at the Blagoevgrad State Opera. In 1997 she won the Laureate Athenian pluralism in the International Song Lyric Song Contest.
Tsveta Christoforou has sung in performances in Austria, Germany, Israel, Greece, Macedonia, Egypt, Bulgaria and Cyprus. Some of the operas that she has participated in are Mozart's Cosi fan tutte in the role of Dorabella, Le nozze di figero in the role of Kerubino, Don Jovanni in the roles of Zerlina and Donna Elvira, The Barbarar of Sevilla Rossini, Carmen Bizzet, Nambouko, Verdi in role of Fenena.
In 1998, after the Opera Don Jovanni which was in collaboration with the Lyric Theater of Cyprus in Sofia and Le Nozze di Figaro in Limassol and Nicosia, she became a permanent member of the Cyprus Lyric Stage. The same year she works with “Diastastis”, responsible for vocal orthophony in the following performances Night Visit to Manos Hadjidakis. Oliver, Cats, Les Miserables and others.
In 2003 Tsveta founded the first children's musical theater in Cyprus, “Melpomeni” and set up a musical “Puss In Boots” Music and Lyrics written by herself. In 2006 the show was repeated with great success.
In January 2006 she collaborated with the Cyprus Lyric stage , the Cyprus State Orchestra and the New Moscow Opera at performing Humberding’s “Henzel and Gretel” Opera. In the role of Henzel. In December 2006 She sang in Vivalti”s “Gloria” with the choir of Leander Sitarou of Nicosia's. On August 18, 2008 she appeared as Sorceress and Dido in the Opera “Dido and Aeneas” in Varna, Bulgaria, and in May 2008 she founded the Cyprus Opera Organization where she performed the same opera “Dido and Aeneas” followed by " The Marriage of Figaro", "Don Giovanni” by Mozzart.
Since 2010, she has been responsible for preparing and editing for all the performances of the Cyprus Youth Opera Organization. Some of the performances are Musical “Minotaur”, “Alice in the world of dreams” by Lubo Denev, “That's amore”, “La Liberte” and more.
From 2012-2015 she participated in Paphos Aphrodite Festival with the Bulgarian National Opera in Delibe ‘s “Lakme”, Czech National opera in Offenbach’s "Tales of Hoffmann", Slovakia National Opera in Verdi’s "Othello".
In 2016 she performed "Orpheus and Eurdiki " in the role of Orpheas, in which she has taken part in the opera festival in Varna Bulgaria for the last 2 years with great success.
For the last 20 years Tsveta Christoforou has worked as a vocal coach and accompagnatore. She has worked as a stage director for the performances “Alice in the land of Dreams”, “That’s Amore” and “La Liberte” performed by the Cyprus Opera Organisation. As a Stage Assistant Director in the operas “Le Nozze Di Figaro”, “Don Giovanni” and “Orfeo ed Euridice”.
On the 25 th of May 2019 she will Direct the Opera “Dido and Aneas” in Larnaca.
