Violin

Ana Pranjkovicć, born in 1992 in Split, Croatia. She finished a master's degree in viola and a degree in violin from the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo in the class of the esteemed violinist and pedagogue, prof. Jovan Bogosavljević. During her schooling she attended various festivals and masterclasses in violin, viola and chamber music in BiH, Croatia and Serbia. Since 2015., she has been permanently employed in the Simfonijski orkestar Mostar as a leader for the viola section. As an orchestral musician, she also collaborates with the Sarajevski gradski orkestar. She also actively plays in the SOM string quartet and the Jena string quartet. She has been teaching since 2014. as a professor of viola, violin and chamber music at the Muzička škola I i II stupnja Mostar. Her students have won over 100 awards at various international competitions (in BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, France, SAD, Spain, Russia, Austria) most of are first prizes, and several laureates. She studied at workshops and seminars of respected violinists (Marija Rajković, Violeta Smailović Huart, Goran Končar, Evgenia Epshtein, Ivan Otašević, Vladimir Marković, JeonYu Jeong, Chris Finckel, Curtis Macomber, Roy Lewis, John Dexter Calvin Wiersma, The Manhattan String Quartet, Leonid Sorokow). She is also a member of the Association of Music Educators of the Federation of BiH and a member of the commission of the Federal Violin and Viola Competition.
