VOCAL COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS

As the competition is online, participants (SOLO or DUET-GROUP) are required to perform within their relevant age group and video-record their performance. The song must be no longer than 5 minutes.

Please note that professional musicians are excluded from this competition.

​

Each contestant (Solo or Duet) can participate in a maximum of THREE nominated categories and is allowed only ONE song per category.
​

Each GROUP can participate in only ONE out of the FOUR categories and is allowed ONE song.

​

For the Video Production category: The Video Production (my music video) is a category on its own.

SONG CLARIFICATIONS: 

​

  1. The song will have to be recorded in a video format with accompaniment music as the jury will want to hear and see the participants’ performance.  

  2. Accompanying musical instruments are ALLOWED.  

  3. Playback singing is NOT allowed and if noticed, the respective participant will be DISQUALIFIED from the nominated categories of 'Rock / Blues & Jazz', Musical - Movie', and 'Native Language'.

  4. Studio recordings and/or play-back signing will automatically be considered and included under the category of: ‘Video Production / My music video’.

  5. Applicable to all participants: any song with offensive or violent expressions will not be allowed and will be immediately DISQUALIFIED from the competition. 

  6. Please note that the Judges’ comments & votes will not be visible.

 

We wish to give all participants equal opportunities, therefore we opt for the simplest recording without any sort of editing.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR VIDEO RECORDING:

1. Video has to be recorded in HORIZONTAL camera mode as follows:

2. How to create a YouTube video link:

  • Sign in the https://www.youtube.com/

  • Go to ‘Your Videos’

  • Click on ‘CREATE’ and click on ‘Upload Videos’.

  • Select the video file that you would like to upload

  • Insert Title and Description

  • Click ‘Yes its made for Kids’

  • At Visibility, we suggest that you select UNLISTED (only anyone with the video link can watch your video). If you wish you may also select PUBLIC (but in this case please note that everyone can watch your video). 

  • Copy the YouTube video link.
