Dragana Popov Marić was born in Novi Sad. She began her musical education at the Isidor Bajić Music School in Novi Sad, first under the guidance of Professor Gabriela Eberst, and later with Professor Lidija Nikolić. In 1985, she enrolled at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, studying under Professor Andreja Preger, with whom she graduated. During her studies, she worked as a piano collaborator, played in chamber ensembles, and won numerous awards at regional and national piano competitions.
Since 1988, she has been employed as a piano professor at the Isidor Bajić Music School.
Throughout her teaching career, her students have won over 100 awards at competitions, both domestically and internationally, earning numerous first prizes and laureate titles at events such as the Citta di Tortona International Competition, Flame Competition in Paris, Pianistiko International Competition in Rome, Citta di Barleta Competition, Udine, Republic Competition, Young Pianists Competition in Niš, Sirmium Fest, Davorin Jenko, as well as online competitions like Four Notes in Dubai, Afrodita Voice in Cyprus, Sergei Rachmaninoff Competition in Sarajevo, among others.
She has received numerous awards for her pedagogical contributions and is a licensed teacher for the Royal programs at ABRSM South-East Europe.
