Professor Jelena Petkovic was born in 1979 in Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has been employed at the Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac Music School since 1998 as the youngest piano teacher at the age of less than 19, on the recommendation of her piano teacher Aleksandra Radosavljevic, MA, because she was one of the most successful students in her generation. In 2006 he enrolled at the Academy of Arts Slobomir P University at the Department of Music Pedagogy and acquired the title of graduate theorist of the art of music. With her students in the discipline of solo piano, duo and chamber music, she has so far won over 100 first, second and third prizes, Grand Prix and Laureate titles at domestic and international competitions in the country and abroad. During her successful career, she attended many master classes by famous pianists Aleksandra Radosavljevic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Neven Sobajic (Serbia), Arsen Carkic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Planinka Atic (Slovenia) Aleksandra Romanic (Germany) and many others. She is one of the few piano teachers who uses the Suzuki method in working with very young children from 4 years of age in her career. So far, her students have successfully participated in international competitions in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, America, France, Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Dubai, Italy, Cyprus and Northern Macedonia. She is married and lives with her husband in Bijeljina, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
