Violin
Lara Silvestri Valdevit was born in Rijeka, Croatia. She graduated in violin from the Zagreb Academy of Music in the class of Prof. Vinko Fabris.
As a scholarship holder of the City of Rijeka and HKD Napredak, she participated in many seminars in Italy, Austria and Germany; she was a long-time member of the Young European Orchestra.
As a soloist and member of various ensembles, she has performed since her early youth in Croatia and abroad (Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia).
She is the artistic director of the Zagreb Salon Ensemble and a member of the Zagreb Salon Quartet, an external collaborator of the Orchestra of the City Theatre Komedija, the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka, and the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra.
She is a moderator of music evenings in Zagreb and an associate of many music events in Zagreb and the surrounding area.
She is an excellent violin pedagogue, distinguished by numerous awards as a mentor to students at national and international violin and chamber music competitions in all categories.
She is the winner of the Oscar of Knowledge and several Balthazar awards for achievements in teaching. She participates in inter-school cooperation projects, international cooperation with music schools in Austria and Hungary, and at the Tartini Festival in Slovenia (Piran).
She is employed at the Blagoje Bersa Music School in Zagreb and is a mother of four children.
