Violin
Natalia Vaskinova is a Finnish violinist based in Dubai, where she works as a violin and viola teacher at Dubai College.
Natalia comes from a musical family and started learning the violin at the age of four. Natalia holds a Master’s degree in violin performance from Sibelius Academy (Helsinki, Finland) and Bachelor’s degrees from both the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and the Sibelius Academy.
Natalia has studied with such musicians as Pavel Vernikov (Vienna University), Isaac Malkin (Manhattan School of Music), Mikhail Kopelman (Music University of Rochester), Jaakko Ilves (Sibelius Academy), and Sergey Sarkisiants (Oulu Conservatory). She is an active performer of
contemporary classical music and has participated in numerous premieres on the main stages of Nordic countries and UAE as a soloist and as a member of orchestras and ensembles led by conductors such as Klaus Makela, Mikko Frank, Susanna Mälkki, Sakari Oramo among others.
During the past few years, Natalia has performed in concerts across Europe and the Middle East, most recently debuting as a soloist of the MECMA Orchestra as part of the Dubai Classical Music Festival in 2021.
Natalia is a founding member and the second chair of the Middle East Concert Artists ensemble and an active member of the NSO orchestra, frequently performing at Dubai Opera and the CocaCola Arena with such musicians as Hans Zimmer, Omar Kamal and Andrea Bocelli.
