PROF. MONICA
MIHAELA VLAD
Romania
Violin
In 1995, I completed my studies at the Bucharest Academy of Music, specializing in Composition, Musicology, and Music Pedagogy with a focus on Music Pedagogy. During that time, I received violin training from Prof. Octavian Ratiu and Prof. Stefan Gheorghiu. Additionally, I finished the Academic Choral Conducting program under the guidance of professors Marin Constantin (the Madrigal Chamber Choir's founder) and Gabriel Popescu. I also delved into composition studies with Prof. Dan Dediu.
Upon completing my studies, I worked with the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company as an editor in the symphonic and chamber music editorial department.
By 1996, I had attained the position of full professor at the "Iosif Sava" School of Arts in Bucharest. In addition to teaching, I served as the head of the violin and low strings department from 2003 to 2005.
Simultaneously, I have performed many recitals and concerts in Romania, as well as in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. In addition to my solo performances, I have worked with the "George Enescu" Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, and various orchestras in Spain.
I have held the position of full professor at the "George Enescu" music college since 2016, and I continue to work there to this day. The students under my guidance have achieved success in various national and international competitions.
I served as a jury member for national and international competitions, as well as national evaluation exams.
