ALIKI CHRYSOCHOU
Cyprus
The Greek-British soprano, Aliki Chrysochou, was born in Limassol, Cyprus.
With studies in classical music and international distinctions and performances worldwide, Aliki’s musical style is unique. She transcends the boundaries of classical singing by blending opera, musical theatre, and contemporary music with ease, performing in more than eight languages.
Aliki has shared the stage with world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli and the Thessaloniki Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Carlo Bernini. She toured with the distinguished Greek tenor Mario Frangoulis. In recent years, she has also led her own sold-out tours with the Orchestra della Magna Grecia in Italy.
She has collaborated with major names in the global music scene, including Il Divo, Nathan Pacheco, Michalis Hatzigiannis, Jonathan Antoine, and Giorgos Perris, among others.
Aliki was selected as a tourism ambassador for Cyprus by the Hermes Group for the short film titled “72 Hours in Cyprus,” aimed at promoting the country, with music by Kostas Kakogiannis.
After her success in the 7th season of Britain’s Got Talent in 2013 and establishing herself on the global music scene, she went on tour in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Greece. Aliki is also very active in raising public awareness about encephalitis, serving as an honorary ambassador for the Encephalitis Society, performing concerts worldwide, and running 42 km in the London Marathon.
She has released two albums recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The first album includes pieces from opera, bel canto, and musicals, and the second features beloved Christmas songs.
