Gorana Biondic Rusko, was born in Slavonski Brod (Bosnia & Herzegovina).
She graduated in singing from the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Snježana Bujanović-Stanislav. She trained with Vitomir Marof, Paolo de Napoli, Silvia Dalla Benetta, Sarah, Jane Baker, T. Hampson, Anna Pirozzi... As one of the most talented representatives of her generation, she records performances in all opera houses in the country.
She made her debut as a student in 2005 at the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka with the role of Despina in Mozart's opera Cosi fan tutte, and in 2011 she sang Paulina and Gabrielle in J. Offenbach's operetta Paris Life. In the opera repertoire, she performed 30 roles until 2019. At the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, she recorded her successful roles in numerous operas such as: Conversations with the Carmelites by F. Poulenc (Constance), The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart (Papagena), Sister Angelica (Genovieffa) and Gianni Schicchi (Nella) by G. Puccini, Falstaff (Nannetta) by G. Verdi, Parsifal (Blumenmädchen, The Squire) by R. Wagner, Hamlet (Ophelia) by A. Thomas, L'elisir d'amore (Adina) by G. Donizetti, Don Giovanni (Zerlina) by W.A. Mozart, The Shoemaker of Delft (Happiness) by Blagoje Bersa, Hansel and Gretel (Gretel) by E. Humperdinck, Mimi (Musetta) by F. Verrières, Don Carlo (Tebaldo) by G. Verdi, Adel and Mara (Melka). In P. Lund's play The Witch Hillary Goes to the Opera, she performed as Maria Bellacanta in 50 plays, and Helene in P. Hindemith's Hin und Zurück. At the Croatian National Theatre in Split, she performed as Musetta in Puccini's opera La Bohème. At the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek, she performed as the Queen of the Night in W.A. Mozart's The Magic Flute, and during her soloist engagement she sang Ines in Il Trovatore by G. Verdi, La Bayadère in the operetta La Bayadère by E. Kalman and Otillia in the operetta Im Weißen Rössl. At the Šibenik Theater, she performed the role of Mrs. Gobineau in G.C. Menotti's Medium. At the opening of the 59th Split Summer, she sang Jela in the opera The Return of the Sailor by F. Suppé.
For the Dubrava Children's Theatre, in co-production with the Little Opera association, of which she is a member, she performed in numerous children's plays, including "Puss in Boots" and "Hansel and Gretel." As a concert singer, she has developed a rich career and, among other things, collaborated with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cantus Ensemble. She has been engaged in vocal pedagogy since 2008. She worked as a vocal mentor at the Rock Academy for many years, and then at the Music School in Sl. Brod as a singing teacher. In 2018, she founded the singing school "LA LA LA music center," in which, in addition to vocal pedagogy, she dedicated herself to music therapy and work with children with developmental disabilities, as well as a music kindergarten according to the American program with colors Prodigies Music.
Since 2019, she has been a member of the Croatian Radio and Television choir as a soloist B.
She has won numerous awards, including the Croatian National Theatre Marijana Radev Award for the 2012-2013 season for the roles of Adina (L'elisir d'amore) and Ophelia (Hamlet).
